Flutterby Butterfly - hand made bespoke wedding stationery by especiallymade


A stunning design for your fairytale wedding! Each boxed invitation features three exquisitely handmade feather butterflies with little wooden bodies and delicate antennae. They are truly beautiful little works of art. The glitter butterflies are exceptionally stunning! The vintage butterflies (see options below) also feature bodies which are the same colour as the wings. Choose to have the names of the bride and groom on the front of the card, or wording of your choice, such as the wedding date. All printing can be in a colour to match the butterfly perfectly, or can be in a contrasting ink. The insert is decorated with Swarovski crystals for added glamour!!





Day and evening invitations are wrapped in tissue and presented in individual white postal boxes as in the image above. They look utterly luxurious. If you would prefer to envelope your invitations then why not go for a flat glittered butterfly. These are often chosen by couples for their evening invitations, but work well for your main invitations too. An example of an evening invitation is below.

The butterflies can also be in mixed colours, so if your wedding scheme uses 2 colours why not choose to mix your butterflies on the front of your card.

	Colour and Design Options:

Base card colour and texture. We have chosen what we feel is the most suitable for each design. If you would like to change it, choose from the options below. If you have a particular card colour in mind, let us know and we will find it for you! OPTION 1 - IVORY - For our card designs we use a stunning card which is ivory in colour. The colour is not white or cream. It suits all of our designs well and also matches well with all colour schemes. It also works well at wedding venues with white table linen. The card has subtle light reflecting particles which look beautiful when the card catches the light. It is a good weight, and all printed inserts are on matching paper. OPTION 2 - FLAT CREAM - Smooth cream card. A classic matt card finish. A high quality heavy weight card. Inserts printed on matching paper. OPTION 3 - FLAT WHITE - Smooth white card. A classic matt card finish. A high quality heavy weight card. Inserts on matching paper.

Each of our stationery designs is supplied with high quality envelopes or white tissue lined boxes as standard.
A range of extra options is listed below to allow you to completely tailor your stationery to your individual requirements.

Coloured Envelope Option

These envelopes are wonderfully thick at 135gsm (most envelopes are 90 to100gsm) and come in a range of stunning colours to compliment your invitation designs. We can choose the envelope colour which we feel best suits your stationery or you can take your pick from the colours shown below. Just make a note of the colour when placing your order with us. A flash of vibrant colour will stand out when it lands on your guest’s doormat. It also adds to that all important first impression of your upcoming wedding.

Favour Boxes - Choose any colour to coordinate with your chosen design range. The boxes are of superior quality with the inside of each box fully lined to match the outer colour and texture. We will then decorate it to match your other stationery, or in any way you wish. It is lined with tissue ready for filling (see below).

Why not add a little tag for just 50 pence extra? It can include the bride and groom's names or the wedding date, or both!

If you feel like being creative why not have different coloured lids, for example a chocolate lid looks good on a cream base! The boxes are perfect little cubes measuring 5cm x 5cm x 5cm.
